We are proud of the collaborative culture that has been established among our staff and families. We provide opportunities through meaningful instruction that contributes to the lifelong learning of students.

Principal's Message

Welcome to Swanavon Elementary School!

On behalf of the entire staff, I would like to welcome you to Swanavon Elementary School.  Swanavon is a community of lifelong learners striving to achieve optimum learning and success for all students.  Opening in 1957, Swanavon has a rich history in the community and has developed a reputation for its warm and welcoming environment, which has been made possible by its dedicated staff and school community, both past and present.

Prior to coming to Swanavon, I spent 18 years at the high school level as a teacher and vice principal.  I am now looking forward to joining the Swanavon community and working with students, parents and staff in this exciting and critical time in our students' educational journey.  I believe that a successful school community is built on the foundation of positive relationships, trust, open communication, and a shared passion and moral purpose of making a difference in the lives of our students.  Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.

Have a great year!

Garth Paquette
Principal
